Digital rhetoric is how one communicates to their audience digitally. The digital artifacts I chose showcase how digital rhetoric can be done through the use of multimedia platforms. For example, I chose two TED Talks, two news articles and one photo that all spread the message that there is inequality in women’s sports. Even though each one did it in a different way they all support one another in the fight to gain equality in women’s sports. The TED Talks are done in person, so the speaker is connecting with an in-person audience as well as an online audience when the video is published. The articles I chose use captivating headlines to bring the audience in and create a healthy conversation on how they are working to achieve equality for women in sports. Finally the last image displays the pay inequality for women in sports in a simple bar graph that is accessible for the audience to understand. All of my artifacts help aid in the fight for equality for women in sports and they each do it in their own unique way.
